of holidays, polling days and wedding day (not mine!)

another long weekend is here..
=)

mum n dad is off to hainan island with all the old pple in my family tree..
the whole tour group is made up of all my relatives...lol..
fun ya? but for old pple la..
i think i wld be bored to death if i joined them..

well, the hot topics these few days are:

the royal wedding, or rather... the HATS spotted on the guests of the wedding..lol

and the other which is closer to us... POLLING DAY/ELECTIONS
so...wats your take on the elections/parties?

to me, i feel that it is either you are really concerned, or you just cant be bothered.
for myself, i am initially cant be bothered. but after hearing from my colleagues (who have very strong opinions) and walking pass the posters (of both parties contesting in my constituency) screaming at me.... i am a little bothered.

I feel that, those who are concerned/are into the elections, are rather bias. I mean, it cant be helped. and i m sure i would be too after reading up/watching the rallies...

But being the libra me, is very torn between both sides.

but, i would just like to remind my friends, that we shldnt vote just cos you want to be on the "safe" side... (some of them was afraid voting for the opposition might affect their chances on getting a flat). Pls remember that the results would actually affect you/your children's future.

However, dont just vote wanting to make a point. Think wisely before voting.

It would be nice to see some changes/improvements done to the current policies (some of which, i feel, make no sense)

On a lighter note,

This two months pampers us with so many long weekends,
I am dread the withdrawal symptoms when june and july comes..
after may, the nxt PH is national day.....*if i am not wrong

Good thing is, i am making use of my Vesak day ph to go bkk!! =)
yes...i cant hear everyone saying "bkk AGAIN?" =x

oh well, i am a bkk addict can?

the bad news is, i spent a bomb on the air tix.
300plus, for budget airline... wen SQ got $308 offer..
but too bad, who ask me so last min book..
no choice lor...

and i am using my off-in-lieu, which i will get from polling day..

so there goes one day of leave... =l

BUT, nevertheless, i am sooo looking forward to get out of sg
and busk in street food, and endless shopping lanes in the land of smiles..

after which, i would have to rest my pockets for a long grad trip/convocation!

anddddd, we (the gfs) have officially taken over yun's wedding planning...
her wedding planner bailed out on her suddenly, saying she is going to japan to work!
so this panicky bride-to-be had to use her golden card (us!)

well, i am sure this would be a fun process, and we would be just glad to play a more significant part in her important day. =)

So, anyone with any recommendations for wedding stuffs, pls let me know ya!

2011 is such an awesome year! and i cant wait to absorb all that it brings!
